“Lovesick Girls” is a track by Blackpink from their first full-length album The Album (2020), released on October 2, 2020, through YG Entertainment and Interscope Records as the album’s third single. A Japanese version followed on June 4, 2021. The song was created by a large team — including Teddy, 24, Jennie, Jisoo, Løren, Brian Lee, Leah Haywood, R.Tee, and David Guetta — and blends dance-pop and electropop with touches of EDM and punk rock. Lyrically, it focuses on the lingering pain of heartbreak and the complicated cycle of looking for love despite it.
Critics praised the track’s production and genre mix, and commercially it became one of Blackpink’s biggest hits. “Lovesick Girls” reached #2 on the Billboard Global 200 and #1 on the Global Excl. U.S., marking the group’s first chart-topper there.
