“As If It’s Your Last” is one of BLACKPINK’s brightest and most energetic releases, dropped as a standalone single on June 22, 2017. Written by Teddy Park, Brother Su, and Choice37, and produced by Future Bounce, Teddy, and Lydia Paek, the track blends synth-pop, house, reggae, moombahton, and a light disco pulse. Lyrically, it follows the rush of falling in love and the fear of losing it just as quickly.
The single was an immediate commercial success, debuting at the top of the Billboard World Digital Songs chart, while also reaching No. 2 on the K-pop Hot 100 and No. 3 on the Gaon Digital Chart. By 2018, it had accumulated more than 2.5 million digital downloads and over 100 million streams in South Korea alone.
