Marking the group’s first official contribution to a movie soundtrack, the track was officially announced by SM Entertainment on March 17, 2023, and later accompanied by a music video unveiled on June 6, 2023. Built around an addictive techno-driven sound, 《Hold On Tight》 reimagines the iconic Tetris theme as a pulse-racing pop track, metaphorically portraying the protagonist’s perilous journey through stacking obstacles like falling tetrominoes, with production led by Aaron Hibell and incorporating a sample from the original Tetris theme composed by Ivan Larionov.
