About the Song
The second track and title song of GFRIEND’s fourth mini-album The Awakening, “Fingertip” breaks several patterns the group had followed since debut. It’s their first title track with an English name and the first without a subtitle. Instead of the signature string-driven sound that defined earlier hits, the production leans heavily on slap bass, bold brass, and a drum solo in place of the electric guitar break heard since “Me Gustas Tu”. It also marks the first time a GFRIEND title track includes a rap section, signaling a clear shift in the group’s musical direction.
