About the Song
“Kill This Love” is the second mini-album by the South Korean girl group BLACKPINK, released on April 5, 2019. The project takes its name from the powerful title track of the same name.
The comeback rollout began on March 25, 2019, when YG officially confirmed BLACKPINK’s return and revealed both the EP title and the name of the lead track. That same day, the first individual teaser photo — featuring Lisa — was unveiled. The teasers continued daily: Jennie’s concept photo dropped on March 26, Jisoo’s on the 27th, and Rosé’s on the morning of the 28th.
On April 1, the full tracklist for the EP was announced. Later that day, teaser videos were released: Lisa’s clip at 1 PM, followed by Jennie’s at 4 PM. The next day, April 2, Jisoo’s teaser video was released at 9 AM, and Rosé’s followed at 1 PM.
On April 3 at 9 AM, the highly anticipated music video teaser for the title track “Kill This Love” was released. The group then shared a D-1 poster on their official blog at midnight on April 4, heightening anticipation.
Finally, at midnight on April 5, the mini-album was released across major music platforms. Within just nine hours, the music video surpassed 20 million views — instantly signaling another record-breaking era for BLACKPINK.

cheonsa gateun hi kkeuten angma gateun bye
an angel-like hi ends with a devil-like bye
maebeon michildeuthan high dwien baeteoya haneun price
after every crazy high comes the price i have to pay
igeon dabi eomneun test maebeon sokdeorado yes
this is a test with no answer, and even if i fall for it every time, yes
ttakan gamjeongui noye
a pitiful slave to my feelings
eoreo jugeul saranghae
loving you is freezing to death
here i come kick in the door
here i come kicking in the door
gajang dokan geollo jwo
give me the strongest you have
ppeonhadi ppeonhan geu love
that obvious and predictable love
deo naenwabwa give me some more
bring it out, give me some more
araseo maedallyeo byeorang kkeute
i cling on my own, right at the cliff’s edge
hanmadimyeon tto like hebeolle hae
one word from you and i’m smiling like a fool again
geu ttatteuthan tteollimi saeppalgan seollemi
that warm trembling, that bright red excitement
machi heaven gatgetjiman
might feel like heaven
you might not get in it
but you might not get in it
look at me, look at you
nuga deo apeulkka?
who do you think hurts more?
you smart nuga? you are
you smart? who? you are
du nune pinunmul heureuge doendamyeon
if blood-like tears were to fall from your eyes
so sorry nuga? you are
so sorry, who? you are
na eotteokae nayakan nal gyeondil su eopseo
what do i do? i can’t stand this weak me
aesseo du nuneul garin chae
forcing my eyes closed
sarangui sumtongeul kkeuneoyagesseo
i need to cut off the breath of this love
let’s kill this love
let’s kill this love
feelin’ like a sinner
it’s so fire, with him i go boo-hoo
he said “you look crazy”
thank you baby
i owe it all to you
got me all messed up
his love is my favorite
but you plus me sadly can be dangerous
lucky me, lucky you
gyeolgugen geojinmal we lie
in the end it’s lies — we lie
so what, so what
manyage naega neol jiuge
if i end up being the one
doendamyeon so sorry
to erase you, then so sorry
i’m not sorry
na eotteokae nayakan nal gyeondil su eopseo
what do i do? i can’t stand this weak me
aesseo nunmureul gamchun chae
hiding my tears on purpose
sarangui sumtongeul kkeuneoyagesseo
i need to cut off the breath of this love
let’s kill this love
let’s kill this love
we all commit to love
that makes you cry
we’re all making love
that kills you inside
we must kill this love
yeah it’s sad but true
gotta kill this love
before it kills you too
kill this love
yeah it’s sad but true
gotta kill this love
gotta kill — let’s kill this love
