The lyrics look back on the distance between childhood hopes and the unfamiliar adult the narrator has become. After wandering through days colored by summer blues, she encounters a vision of freedom and dreams of escaping like a butterfly to Hawaii, leaving confusion behind. A young girl from a dream then reaches out with a yellow flower, reconnecting her with the bright aspirations she once carried. By choosing to move like waves on the wind and dance with love, she turns lost innocence into renewed freedom and gently promises herself no more blues.
