The lyrics portray someone lost inside a dark, dreamlike maze of fear, self-doubt, and exhaustion, desperately searching for an “Alice” who can guide them back to themselves. Shadows, nightmares, mirrors, and an endless underland reflect a mind overwhelmed by uncertainty, while references to Cheshire and strange celebrations deepen the sense of being trapped in an unreal world. Yet the narrator keeps reaching for a way out, asking to be awakened, rescued, and led toward the destination they had slowly forgotten. In the end, Alice becomes a symbol of inner salvation and the courage to open one’s eyes, escape the dark labyrinth, and return to a clearer sense of self.
