Others, like Pitchfork, were less favorable — but even then, the track continued to win listeners over with its catchy hook and unapologetically confident energy.
“Typa Girl” later received a nomination for Artist of the Year – Global Digital Music (September) at the 12th Circle Chart Music Awards, alongside other tracks from the album including Shut Down, Hard to Love, and The Happiest Girl.
